NEIL BARRETT

Neil Barrett is a fourth-generation tailor; Italian designer of British origin, who for many years has been developing men's collections for PRADA and GUCCI. It was with the advent of Barrett that PRADA House became known as the pioneer of menswear in minimalist design. He founded his own brand in the late nineties, and for twenty years he has remained faithful to his chosen direction — unisex, sport, military minimalism.

His approach to the sporting style Barrett describes, first of all, as something possessing comfort and adequacy, and only after that working on decorative elements should be performed. «My credo has always been a mixture of sports, fashion and art of tailoring, which came from the Italian classics.» He was one of the first designers who proposed the most cutting edge ways to wear familiar things: coats and suits with sneakers, bombers with classic shoes, and so on. The brand produces excellent collections for men which, of course, are not only sports oriented, but they are characterized by fitting silhouettes, attention to details, vivid decoarations, laconic color range — white, black, gray and red. These are high-tech fabrics that «breathe» and do not lose their shape, but remain elastic, and folds are smoothed out at the first movement. This is comfortable modern clothing for any occasion in which a man looks fit, stylish and courageous. Since 2006, the NEIL BARRETT brand has been producing the women's collection as well.
